This is a nice prayer when you're down and losing hope:
"Lord when I lose hope because my plans have come to nothing, help me to remember that your love is always greater than my disappointments and your plans for my life are always better than my dreams. Amen."

Trusting the Lord
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
--Psalm 27:1
When you trust the Lord, you need not fear. When I face some difficult problems, I look to the bible for inspiration and this verse is really a life-saver.
